A custom subdomain lets you serve Jurni experiences from a branded URL such as go.yourbrand.com, try.yourbrand.com, or offers.yourbrand.com instead of a generic Jurni URL.

When to use a custom subdomain

A custom subdomain is a strong fit when you want to:
  • Send paid traffic to a branded campaign URL
  • Keep Jurni landing pages separate from your main Shopify theme
  • Use Smart Links and experiments without changing your store’s primary domain
  • Launch multiple campaign pages under one dedicated subdomain
A subdomain is different from a separate root domain. For example, go.brand.com is a subdomain of brand.com, while anotherbrand.com is a separate root domain.

Set up the subdomain

1

Choose the subdomain

Decide which branded hostname you want to use, such as go.yourbrand.com or try.yourbrand.com.
2

Add it in Jurni

Open your workspace settings and add the custom subdomain in the domain configuration area.
3

Copy the DNS value from Jurni

Jurni will provide the DNS record your domain administrator needs to add.
4

Add the DNS record

In your DNS provider, create the record exactly as shown in Jurni. Avoid adding unrelated redirects or proxy rules unless your setup specifically requires them.
5

Verify the connection

Return to Jurni and verify the domain after the DNS change has propagated.

What happens when the subdomain has no page path

A campaign subdomain can contain many Jurni experiences. Traffic should normally be sent to the full published page URL or through a Smart Link rather than only to the bare subdomain. If your workspace is configured with a fallback destination, visiting the subdomain without a valid page handle can redirect to that fallback, such as your main storefront.

Using the subdomain with paid ads

Once the domain is connected, publish the Jurni experience and use its full URL as the destination for your campaign. If you expect to change destinations or run experiments, consider using a Smart Link as the stable campaign URL.
Use one consistent campaign subdomain across your paid landing pages. It keeps links recognizable and makes domain management much simpler than creating a new subdomain for every page.

Subdomain to Shopify checkout

It is normal for a shopper to move from a Jurni subdomain to the Shopify root domain when they continue to cart or checkout. Your analytics and ad platforms can have their own cross-domain behavior, so test your attribution setup before launch if cross-domain reporting is critical.

Troubleshooting

Confirm the DNS hostname and target exactly match the values shown in Jurni. DNS updates can also take time to propagate depending on your provider.
Check whether the visitor is opening the bare subdomain instead of a published page URL, and review any fallback or DNS-level redirect configured for that hostname.
Confirm the domain is verified, the experience is published, and the page path you are requesting exists.
