Release-preview draft for the new managed Buy Box flow. Confirm the released interface and publishing behavior before using this as live customer guidance.
Before changing a Buy Box, decide whether the change should apply to every connected page or only one campaign. That decision determines whether to edit the existing Buy Box or create a separate one.
Choose the right action
Update an existing Buy Box
Open the purchasing section, confirm the selected product and Buy Box, then select Manage. Make the intended edits and check both mobile and desktop.
Before saving, review the connected-page count and confirmation. Saving updates the shared Buy Box; it is not automatically a private change to the page from which you opened it.
Check the pages that should receive the change. For a native Shopify Page, verify the publishing state and live /pages/ destination separately rather than assuming the Shopify output refreshed when the shared source was saved.
Create an independent campaign version
For a test that should leave the control unchanged, create another Buy Box rather than editing a source used by both variants.
Keep the current version
Identify the Buy Box used by the control. From its menu, choose Save as Buy Box template when you want to reuse that exact starting design.
Create a separate Buy Box
Start Create new, select the same product, and choose the saved template. Give it a distinct campaign name and make the intended change.
Connect only the test page
Create the saved Buy Box, return to the test page, and select that new version in its Buy Box selector. Confirm the control still uses the original version.
Test and publish the page
Check the default purchase selection, alternative variants/plans, and actual cart/checkout before publishing the test page.
The reviewed managed Buy Box panel does not offer the ordinary Global Section Detach Global action. Do not look for that button or assume duplicating the page detached its Buy Box. The separate-version workflow above keeps the shared original intact.
Save a template for reuse
Open the Buy Box’s menu and select Save as Buy Box template. Use that template as the starting point when creating another Buy Box.
The template is a starting design, not a command to synchronize every future Buy Box made from it. Select and test the new product, including variants, subscription choices, quantities, and any custom logic. A design copied between shops can still contain assumptions from the original shop.
Set a default
Use Set as default on the Buy Box you want preferred for the selected product. Only one active Buy Box is marked as that product’s default.
Changing the default does not itself rewrite the Buy Box selected on every existing page. Open the intended page and change its selection when you need a different connection.
Remove a Buy Box
The management menu’s Delete action removes the Buy Box from normal active selection. In the implementation under review, this archives the managed Buy Box rather than deleting the underlying commerce product.
The product must retain at least one active Buy Box. When the removed Buy Box was the default, another active Buy Box becomes the default.
Do not use Delete as a way to unpublish a page or remove a purchasing section from every live page. Review connected uses and change the intended page connections before removing an old design.
Deleting a saved template is a different action from deleting a managed Buy Box. Neither should be confused with deleting the product in your commerce platform.
Test the default selection, one-time and subscription paths where offered, important variants, and the final cart or checkout amount. Confirm campaign links still lead to the correct page.
